								What you require to sign up
				Diaspora loans are only offered to applicants who meet either of the following criteria:
- Non-Resident Rwandans
 
- Rwandans sent on foreign missions abroad
 
- Rwandans with dual citizenship
 
The loans can be extended to individuals or joint applicants.
Required Documents For Each Applicant:
- New or existing Equity Bank account
 
- Identification Documents – Rwanda ID/Passport and proof of current address
 
- 2 passport size photos
 
- Credit report from your country of residence
 
- Copies of Bank statements for the past 6 months
 
- Complete individual tax returns for the past 3 years
 
- Joint applicants to provide a marriage certificate or affidavit
 
Collateral/Security Document:
- Copy of the title deed (minimum remaining lease of 20 years), Equity Bank fixed deposit account certificate, or logbook
 
Salaried Applicants:
In addition to the above, salaried applicants must provide:
- Copies of payslips/paystubs for the past 3 months
 
- Employment letter/W-2/P60/T4
 
Self-Employed Applicants:
In addition to the above, self-employed applicants who earn dividends/distributions as opposed to a salary, must provide:
- Business registration documents
 
- Business bank statements for the last 12 months
 
- Business tax returns for the past 3 years
 
- Year-to-date management accounts (balance sheet and P&L statement)
