Requirements for opening an NGO account under Congolese law

  • Minutes or notarised deed of appointment of the persons who assume the day-to-day management or represent the ASBL
  • Ministerial decree granting legal personality, failing which acknowledgement of receipt or F92 with favourable opinion from the supervisory ministry or operating authorisation from the governor for the provinces, registration certificate for applications for ministerial decree in the provinces
  • Delegation of authority for agents on the account
  • Valid identity documents of representatives
  • Internal regulations, if available.
  • Requirements for Opening an NGO account for institutions under foreign law

    • Approval of the country in which the ASBL is based
    • Authorisation to practice by the President of the Republic; Failing that
    • Favourable opinion of the supervisory ministry and framework agreement signed with the Ministry of Planning
    • Notarised status
    • Minutes or notarised deed of appointment of the persons who assume the day-to-day management or represent the ASBL
    • Note on the appointment of proxies on the account
    • Valid identity documents of representatives
    • Rules of Procedure
    • Notarised minutes of the General Assembly and/or the Board of Directors deciding to open an entity in the DRC. This act must specify the name of the representative of the ASBL/NGO in the DRC.

    Note:

    • EquityBCDC may request additional documents taking into account the sector of activity of the entity.
    • Any person wishing to open an account must adhere to the general conditions of Equity Banque Commerciale du Congo SA.
    • The documents submitted must be original.
