Kinshasa, April 26, 2024 - EquityBCDC is pleased to announce the launch of the third cohort third cohort of the Equity Leaders 2024 (ELP) program this Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Sultani River, the beginning of a new era for the 127 young beneficiaries from the 4 regions of the DR. Congo.
Equity Leaders Program is part of the Education and Leadership pillar of the and aims to identify, train and support talented and motivated by offering them exceptional opportunities for personal and professional personal and professional development. The program selects the best students who score over 80% on the state exam, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
During the launch ceremony, 127 young beneficiaries, including 61 boys and 66 girls, were officially presented as beneficiaries of the Equity Leaders Program 2024 in the DRC. These promising young leaders have brilliantly passed the last 6 secondary school exams, and represent the immense potential of Congolese Congolese youth.

Equity Leaders Program will provide beneficiaries with in-depth training in leadershipleadership, entrepreneurship, personal development and professional as well as ongoing support in the form of mentoring, tutoring and networking networking opportunities. This ambitious program aims to create a new generation of competent and committed leaders, ready to make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of DR Congo.

About the Equity Leaders' program
The Equity Leaders program was created in 1998 and has grown over time to benefit 23,825 students. The paid internship component of the Equity Leaders program admits the best-performing students at the end of secondary school examinations in each each region of the DRC where EquityBCDC has a branch office. The program aims to build the capacity of gifted young academics by helping them to access public universities in the DRC and around the world, as well as equipping them with leadership skills. The paid internship takes place during the two months between the end of secondary school university. In Kenya, 6,713 students benefited from internships at Equity Bank at Equity Bank before moving on to local or international universities. Of these 688 were accepted and awarded scholarships to the world's leading universities.
